The Dover Roof Installation Process
We believe in a clear, step-by-step approach to roof installation in Dover. Following your roofing estimate, we manage all the logistics, including pulling permits and coordinating material delivery. On installation day, our professional crew arrives on time and protects your property by covering landscaping and walkways. After a full roof tear-off, we carefully inspect the decking for any signs of damage. We perform any needed roof replacement before rebuilding your roof with the GAF system. This includes the installation of a leak barrier and synthetic underlayment, which are critical for preventing leaks and protecting your home from moisture. Our team meticulously installs every shingle and ensures proper attic ventilation is in place. We leave the work site clean and tidy, performing a final magnetic sweep to collect any loose nails and debris.
How we build the perfect roof using gaf's Lifetime Roofing System
Why We Use GAF Roofing Systems:
At Synergy Skylights & Roofing, we believe a roof is only as good as the system behind it, which is why we proudly use GAF Roofing Systems for all of our roofs. As a Certified GAF Contractor, we specialize in installing complete GAF roofing systems using premium components which allow us to offer our customers exclusive enhanced warranties like the Systems Plus and Silver Pledge Warranty for unmatched peace of mind.
What Goes Into Roofs Built Using the GAF Roofing System?
Deck Inspection & Tear-Off
We remove your old shingles to fully inspect the roof deck and replace any damaged plywood before rebuilding.
Drip Edge
Metal flashing is installed along edges to direct water into the gutters and defend against wind-driven rain.
Leak Barrier (Ice & Water Shield)
This membrane protects vulnerable areas like skylights, chimneys, vents, and valleys — especially critical in New England winters.
Synthetic Underlayment
Stronger than old felt paper, this high-performance layer shields your roof deck from water and wear.
Starter Strip Shingles
These adhesive strips help lock shingles in place and reduce wind uplift at the eaves and rakes.
GAF Shingles
We install Timberline® HDZ, the #1-selling shingle in America, featuring:
LayerLock™ Technology for 99.9% nailing accuracy
WindProven™ Warranty – no maximum wind speed
StainGuard Plus™ Algae Protection (25–30 year protection)
Upgrade to Timberline UHDZ® for deeper dimension and enhanced performance.
Ridge Ventilation
We ensure your attic has proper airflow to prevent heat and moisture buildup — reducing long-term roof and insulation damage.
Hip & Ridge Shingles
These custom-matched finishing shingles are installed on peaks and edges for both protection and a polished look.
Stainguard Plus Algae Protection: Protect your roof investment with algae resistance so powerful it allows us to offer a 25/30 year limited warranty against blue-green algae discoloration. HDZ 25 Years for StainGuard Plus- Ultra HDZ 30 Years for StainGuard Plus PRO™
Windproven: An industry first. Timberline UHDZ and HDZ® Shingles are eligible for a 15-year limited wind warranty with no maximum wind speed limitation.
Layerlock Technology: Get up to a 99.9% nailing accuracy with StrikeZone™ Layerlock™ technology mechanically fuses the common bond between overlapping shingle layers. This gives the roof added protection and why GAF can offer an UNLIMITED wind warranty

Roof Replacement in Dover, MA, Protecting Homes with Integrity and Precision
Dover’s scenic charm and rural character make it a beautiful place to live, but also a unique one when it comes to roofing. At Synergy Skylights & Roofing, we’ve completed roof replacement projects across Dover, from early 1800s colonials along Main Street and Springdale Avenue to more modern homes tucked into wooded lots near Farm Street. We understand the challenges of working on homes with historic value, steep pitches, and mixed roof structures, and we take the time to get every detail right.
When you hire us for a roof replacement in Dover, we handle everything from the start, including permits, scheduling, and material delivery, so you don’t have to manage the moving parts. We’re familiar with Dover’s building department and inspection requirements, and our crew is trained to navigate the quirks that come with rural driveways and tight yard access. Before installation, we walk the site, protect your home and landscape, and thoroughly inspect the existing roof deck. Then we install a full GAF-certified system: leak barriers, synthetic underlayment, drip edges, and architectural shingles built to handle harsh New England weather.
Many Dover residents reach out to us after hearing from a neighbor or seeing one of our projects nearby. We’ve worked in surrounding towns like Westwood, Wellesley, and Needham, so we know the roof styles and the local expectations. Our reputation is built on follow-through. We don’t disappear after the deposit clears. We stay in communication, finish on schedule, and leave your property spotless, right down to the final magnetic sweep.
If you’re looking for a roof replacement in Dover that’s handled with care, attention, and real expertise, Synergy Skylights & Roofing is ready to earn your trust.
