The Franklin Roof Replacement Process
A successful roof replacement in Franklin begins with a clear plan. We handle all the logistics, from securing permits to coordinating material and dumpster deliveries. On installation day, our professional crew arrives promptly and meticulously protects your property, including your landscaping, siding, and driveways. After a complete roof tear-off, we inspect the deck for any soft or damaged wood and perform any necessary roof replacement. The new GAF roofing system is installed layer by layer, with a strong focus on crucial elements like the leak barrier and synthetic underlayment, which are vital for preventing leaks. We also ensure proper attic ventilation to maintain a healthy roof and home. Our team works cleanly and efficiently, and we finish the job with a thorough cleanup and magnetic sweep to collect any stray nails.
How we build the perfect roof using gaf's Lifetime Roofing System
Why We Use GAF Roofing Systems:
At Synergy Skylights & Roofing, we believe a roof is only as good as the system behind it, which is why we proudly use GAF Roofing Systems for all of our roofs. As a Certified GAF Contractor, we specialize in installing complete GAF roofing systems using premium components which allow us to offer our customers exclusive enhanced warranties like the Systems Plus and Silver Pledge Warranty for unmatched peace of mind.
What Goes Into Roofs Built Using the GAF Roofing System?
Deck Inspection & Tear-Off
We remove your old shingles to fully inspect the roof deck and replace any damaged plywood before rebuilding.
Drip Edge
Metal flashing is installed along edges to direct water into the gutters and defend against wind-driven rain.
Leak Barrier (Ice & Water Shield)
This membrane protects vulnerable areas like skylights, chimneys, vents, and valleys — especially critical in New England winters.
Synthetic Underlayment
Stronger than old felt paper, this high-performance layer shields your roof deck from water and wear.
Starter Strip Shingles
These adhesive strips help lock shingles in place and reduce wind uplift at the eaves and rakes.
GAF Shingles
We install Timberline® HDZ, the #1-selling shingle in America, featuring:
LayerLock™ Technology for 99.9% nailing accuracy
WindProven™ Warranty – no maximum wind speed
StainGuard Plus™ Algae Protection (25–30 year protection)
Upgrade to Timberline UHDZ® for deeper dimension and enhanced performance.
Ridge Ventilation
We ensure your attic has proper airflow to prevent heat and moisture buildup — reducing long-term roof and insulation damage.
Hip & Ridge Shingles
These custom-matched finishing shingles are installed on peaks and edges for both protection and a polished look.
Stainguard Plus Algae Protection: Protect your roof investment with algae resistance so powerful it allows us to offer a 25/30 year limited warranty against blue-green algae discoloration. HDZ 25 Years for StainGuard Plus- Ultra HDZ 30 Years for StainGuard Plus PRO™
Windproven: An industry first. Timberline UHDZ and HDZ® Shingles are eligible for a 15-year limited wind warranty with no maximum wind speed limitation.
Layerlock Technology: Get up to a 99.9% nailing accuracy with StrikeZone™ Layerlock™ technology mechanically fuses the common bond between overlapping shingle layers. This gives the roof added protection and why GAF can offer an UNLIMITED wind warranty
